Fitness Center

With a wide array of low-impact exercise equipment created for older adults, our Fitness Center is a welcoming environment for those who wish to add more activity into their routine.

Our full-time fitness staff and personal trainers are available to create fun and engaging wellness plans to maximize goals like losing weight or strengthening muscles. Residents are also free to take advantage of the many aerobic and exercise classes and low-impact equipment available in our Fitness Center. With such a variety every week, there is always something fun for everyone.

Classes

Gentle Yoga (60 min)

The practice of gentle yoga is intended to be easier, less intense, and less strenuous than traditional yoga. Gentle yoga can strengthen muscles and joints and improve flexibility despite the name. (Level 3-5)

Chair Yoga (30 min)

Chair yoga is a gentle practice in which postures are performed while seated and/or with the aid of a chair. (Level 1-3)

Tai Chi (30 min)

This class is for all levels and can be performed from a chair or standing position.  Slow movements increase circulation, flexibility, coordination, and balance while increasing relaxation and alleviating stress. (Level 1-3)

Follow Me Tai Chi (30 min)

This class is for all levels and can be performed from a chair or standing position.  Slow movements increase circulation, flexibility, coordination, and balance while increasing relaxation and alleviating stress. (Level 1-3)

Functional Movement (45 min)

This class incorporates movements and exercises that focus on building strength to help you perform activities in your daily life. This is a seated class, using weights and resistance bands. (Level 1-3)

Water Aerobics (45 min)

This class is low impact but high intensity. Designed to improve strength, muscle tone, cardiovascular endurance, range of motion, and flexibility. Water weights and noodles help create resistance. (Level 2-4)

Move and Groove (30 min)

A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance, flexibility and helps boost energy! (Level 4-5)

Stix/Cardio Drumming (30 min)

Cardio drumming combines cardio exercise and drumming to the rhythm of the music in an easy but effective workout. It's a fun, fast-paced way to get your heart rate up, improve your rhythm, and burn calories. You don't need to be a drummer to do it, and even more amazingly, you don't even need drums! It's done standing or seated. (Level 2-5)

Aqua Groove (30 min)

There is less impact on your joints during an Aqua Groove. The Water creates natural resistance, which means every step is more challenging and helps tone your muscles. (Level 2-5)

Stretch and Balance (30 min)

This class focuses on increasing flexibility through a variety of seated postures and stretches. In addition, balance exercises are added to allow for core strengthening. (Level 1-3)
