DeeAnn recruits volunteers that are living with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers to tell their stories to state and federal members of Congress to make Alzheimer’s a priority. DeeAnn’s passion for her job comes from being her grandfather’s respite caregiver where she saw the devastation of Alzheimer’s on her grandfather and those that cared for him.

95,000 South Carolinians are living with Alzheimer’s. By 2025, that number is projected to grow to 120,000 South Carolinians. Given the sweeping economic and social impact of Alzheimer’s disease, South Carolina needs to be proactive in response to this issue. That is why we are working hard to support policies that serve families facing dementia in our state. (Alzheimer’s Association)
