Join us for our May active lifestyle trip to Edisto Memorial Gardens. Edisto Gardens will have just celebrated their Rose Festival, so the roses will still be beautiful and in full bloom. We will have time to stroll the rose gardens and walking path of the Edisto River. After touring the gardens we will head to Chestnut Grille for a delicious Dutch treat lunch. Palmetto Master Singers: It’s a Guy Thing

Enjoy an evening of music as the Palmetto Master Singers present It’s a Guy Thing. The Palmetto Master Singers’ roster includes over 60 men, ranging in age from 22-82. They have performed at the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, the Dom Cathedral in Germany, the White House, Carnegie Hall, the National Cathedral in Washington, and St. Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican. For this performance the Singers will be singing about saints, scoundrels, sweethearts, soldiers, and sinners. May Book Club Movie Showing – A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman

Sumter’s Iris Festival is South Carolina’s oldest continuous festival and is consistently ranked among the top festivals in the Southeast. We will have plenty of time to walk and view the flowers, swans, gardens, and to visit the many vendors. You can even go for a pontoon boat ride across Swan Lake. Join us for a walk along the Catawba River to enjoy the spider lilies in bloom. Stretched along the Catawba River on the South Carolina fall line, Landsford Canal State Park is home to the well-preserved remains of the canal system that made the river commercially navigable from 1820 to 1835. The Catawba River is home to the largest known stand of the rocky shoals spider lily, a flower species found predominantly in the Southeast.
